NanoH2O is a leader in advanced membrane technology, specializing in reverse osmosis (RO) solutions for desalination and water treatment. Founded in California, it built its reputation on nanocomposite membranes that deliver higher efficiency with lower energy consumption. Under LG Chem, NanoH2O scaled globally to become a trusted partner in addressing water scarcity. Today, its technologies power critical water infrastructure projects around the world.
Lippincott conducted in-depth research with key internal stakeholders leading NanoH2O’s transformation to identify what should be preserved from the existing brand and what needed to be reimagined for the future. This process aligned the organization around a shared vision and laid the foundation for the brand’s evolution while honoring its heritage. Through this work, we redefined NanoH2O as more than a membrane manufacturer, positioning it as a total solutions provider that delivers meaningful impact across the global water ecosystem.
We built the brand strategy around the idea of “Turning Water into Possibilities,” positioning NanoH2O as a solutions-driven company that transforms the challenge of water scarcity through the power of science. The brand platform highlights its fearless mindset, the dedication of its people, and a deeply collaborative approach to partnering with customers, creating a clear strategic direction for achieving its vision.
To bring NanoH2O’s transformation to life, we created a distinctive visual identity and design system that reintroduced the company to the market with greater clarity, confidence, and ambition. We developed a comprehensive messaging framework to ensure a consistent brand experience across key touchpoints—from events and exhibitions to product communications. To launch the new brand, we also produced a brand film that captured NanoH2O’s pioneering spirit, celebrated its heritage, and articulated its vision for the future.
At the heart of the system is the orange square, evolved from the dot in NanoH2O’s legacy logo. Serving as the foundation of the design language, it symbolizes innovation and transformation—from molecular-level technology to global-scale impact. Integrated throughout the identity, the square moves, adapts, and evolves within a modular visual system, expressing the brand’s spirit of continuous progress.
Lippincott reimagined NanoH2O’s visual and verbal identity to reflect a more dynamic, progressive brand—one that stands apart in a conservative category dominated by blue. Embracing a sophisticated palette with a bold orange accent, the new identity signals NanoH2O’s challenger mindset and ambition as a newly independent company.
