Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico
New Horizons in the airline industry
The Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico is a consortium formed by the Government of Mexico to operate Mexico's western airports in a 1999 privatization.
Challenges
The previously government-owned operation needed to be transformed into an effective private brand, ready to do business in a competitive marketplace
Actions
Adopted the naming convention of "Aeropuerto Internacional de (Name of City)" to celebrate individual travel destination names while leveraging the prestige of a truly international air travel network
Created a striking new corporate logotype incorporating the symbol of stylized aircraft meeting together at a common point
Applied a unique color palette of orange, purple and green to evoke the personality of the local culture, convey the bold creativity of the new organization and further separate it from its bureaucratic past
Created a unified signage system for all twelve facilities based on the new brand architecture, logo and color palette
