A new face for Norske Skog Canada

Challenges

Norske Skog Canada had acquired rival Pacifica Papers. During the acquisition, Norske Skog reduced its equity stake in the Canadian subsidiary. As a result Norske Skog Canada sought create a powerful new identity

Actions

Developed hypothetical identity relationships that represented a change in ownership, including a new company name

Evaluated brand scenarios and recommended leveraging the Catalyst name with a new visual identity

Created a dynamic new logo and tagline "You'll know us by our stripes," emphasizing the personal and professional aspect of paper production

Introduced a visual system for Catalyst, including recommendations for implementation
