After working with the firm as a consultant for a number of years, James recently joined Lippincott to lead the digital strategy and user experience practice. He delivers over 15 years of interface design, information architecture, interactivity design, digital strategy, product innovation and developing process and tools for user experience design.
James has worked with ACLS (American Council of Learned Societies), American Cancer Society, AOL, Chubb Insurance, Ernst & Young LLP, Gallery Systems, Goodwin & Procter LLP, JSTOR, MasterCard, McDonald’s, McKinsey & Company, Republic National Bank (acquired by HSBC), TACA Airlines and Time Warner.

James has been a guest critic and lecturer at Yale, Columbia, Stanford, Bard College, University of Washington and other institutions.
He is a member of The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.
James holds a B.A. from Hampshire College and an M.F.A. from Yale University.
