Brendàn Murphy Comments on Brands Going Retro in the Wall Street Journal

The Wall Street Journal examines the trend of retro packing for major brands such as Tide, Doritos and Cheerios.  Lippincott senior partner Brendàn Murphy shares some insights on what gives these brands their vintage look: brown, yellow and orange color palettes, letter blocks, retro typeface and flat design all evoke the nostalgia of 60's and 70's era brands.

Viking’s Relaunch Aims for Consumer Appeal

With a multimillion-pound campaign intended to establish its consumer appeal, Viking ultimately hopes to challenge Amazon's dominance in the online retailing of office furniture and technology.  To this end, Lippincott was enlisted to assist with website redesign in addition to other positioning and visual identity services.  The Viking rebrand was recently supported by TV and radio spots featuring the tagline: " All the inspiration your office needs."

Lippincott Unveils Catalyst, a New Name and Visual Identity for NorskeCanada

Design and brand strategy consultancy Lippincott Mercer has created the name and identity for Catalyst, a leading producer of mechanical printing papers in North America. The company was previously known as NorskeCanada and will begin operating as Catalyst immediately. On October 7, it began trading under a new ticker symbol–CTL–on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
